The World Health Organization (WHO) has said it conducted more than 200 major surgical operations in Libya over the past two weeks.

The organization explained on Facebook that the surgical operations were carried out in 24 health facilities across Libya last October.

WHO medical teams also conducted around 163 minor surgical operations and 4,574 consultations, it added, explaining that the program was implemented in cooperation with UN and EU missions in Libya, as well as the British Department for International Development.
