Spokesman of the Man-made River Authority (MMRA), Tawfiq al-Shuwihdi, said that the operating teams of the pumping station wells in the eastern and western fields are working to mobilize the middle path, which feeds the city of Tripoli, and the surrounding areas.

Al-Shuwihdi clarified in a press statement that the operation and maintenance teams in Al-Hasawna System of Jafara started operations Monday morning in the pumping stations, for the eastern and western fields after restoring the electricity in the area.

Al-Shuwihdi attributed the water interruption in Tripoli to the occurrence of an electrical shock in the southern region, which led to a power cut in Hasawna wells.
