The Man-made River Authority (MMRA) said on Wednesday it will cut off water supplies to consumers in Tripoli to conduct repair and maintenance work, in order to equip and restart the pumping station in Tarhouna city.

The MMRA said in a statement on Facebook yesterday that water service will be restored to the capital by Friday via the middle feeding line, as work is in progress to upgrade this route in order to enhance its performance.

It explained that re-pumping water through the middle track will increase the flowing of water to the city of Tripoli and other areas, and at the same time, it might improve water flows to Gharyan city and to areas of the western mountain region, while cities in the central region will continue to receive water supplies through the eastern track.
