The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, renewed the United State's position regarding the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya and its support for the Government of National Unity (GNU) as it leads the country towards elections in December.

Secretary Blinken's remarks came during his participation in the G7 meeting, Tuesday, according to a tweet by the US top diplomat.

He also assured Libyans of his country's firm support to reach a political solution in accordance with the United Nations roadmap.
