The United States special envoy and ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, stressed that Washington wishes to deliver a strong message that the elections should be held as scheduled.
Norland called on the Libyans in a speech during the opening of the Media Center of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) telling all to grab the opportunity to restore Libya’s sovereignty and achieve a government that meets the aspirations of all Libyans.
He noted that the United States welcomes the announcement of the opening of the Media Center to cover the elections and the onset of the updating process for the voter register.
