The Biden administration’s national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, confirmed that Washington would concentrate on holding those who work to undermine the electoral roadmap, drawn up by Libyans, responsible for their actions.

Sullivan added in a statement published on the official website of the White House that the empty logic of military escalation has failed, stressing the necessity now for all foreign countries to withdraw their mercenaries and weapons, which pose a threat to Libya.

He called for a peaceful political transition, adding that Libyans now have an opportunity to lay down their weapons, solve their differences peacefully and take part in a new era of law and order.
