The so-called western military zone force affiliated to warlord Khalifa Haftar has launched a military operation to "liberate" - as it put it- a number of areas and cities in the southwestern region, from the control of other military formations opposed to them, which it accuses of “terrorism.”
The force said in a statement Sunday that the operation aims to set a security cordon around areas in the southwestern region, including, Qurayyat, Hamada and the border triangle, until the city of Ghadames.
