The United Nations disclosed Friday that the number of displaced from the fighting in the suburbs of Tripoli amounted to more than 82 thousand people.

The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stéphane Dujarric warned in a press conference that the wave of civilian displacement would further exacerbate if clashes south of Tripoli continue.

He also expressed concern of the humanitarian actors in Libya over the safety of their staff, following the killing of two aid workers while on duty Thursday.
