The administration of Al-Hasawneh water system of the Man-made River in the southern region has confirmed that unknown persons attacked one of the water wells and removed a power transformer of the well (221) in line (F2) and stole the amount of copper inside.
The administration explained that the power transformer is considered as one of the crucial parts of the well, and without it, it will be out of service, noting that there are 16 other wells which have been vandalized or looted.
It also added via its Facebook page that the well will be unavailable for a period of time due to the lack of spare parts needed for the maintenance process.
