The Head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, held discussions with the US ambassador and US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, on mechanisms for the agency’s support for all Libyan people in the upcoming elections, scheduled for the end of the year.

On her Twitter account, Power posted an image of her meeting with Norland, commenting: “I had valuable and extensive discussions yesterday, with the US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, regarding USAID’s possible support for the Libyan people.”

Power went on to say that she discussed several important topics, which included the agency’s commitment to, as she put it: “ensure that the voices of all Libyans are heard in these pivotal national elections, due to take place in December.”
