The spokeswoman at the US State Department, Geraldine Griffiths, said that the administration of President "Biden" pays attention to the necessity of holding elections in Libya, stressing that there is a popular consensus on holding the elections because they are an opportunity for the Libyan people to decide their fate.

Griffiths stressed, in a press statement on Saturday, the necessity of holding the elections on time, noting that the US administration seeks to see Libya free of mercenaries and foreign forces.
