The German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, on Tuesday, said that he wants the United States, (US), under the direction of the new president, Joe Biden, to show increased interest in Libya, which has been suffering through conflicts for more than 10 years, as he put it.

Maas added, during a meeting in Berlin, that the US has the ability and influence to play a larger role in pressing for a political solution in Libya, referring to the ongoing talks, initiated to find a peaceful solution to the present Libyan crisis.
