US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says he reminded Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of the arms embargo imposed on Libya.
Pompeo told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday that the US is willing to sit with Russia and settle the issue in Libya, saying he received a positive response from his Russian counterpart.
"A political, not a military approach is the only way to resolve the dispute in Libya," Pompeo said, stressing that no party has the power to end the conflict in Libya in his favour.
