The ambassador of the United States to Libya Richard Norland has renewed his country's support for a demilitarized solution in Sirte as well as for setting up unbiased security arrangements for the city, plus ending foreign intervention.

Norland told reporters Saturday that Washington wasn't the only country supporting a demilitarized solution in Sirte as it would help Libyans regain stability, adding that his last visit to Cairo was on the se track as the US exerts efforts to reach a mechanism to expel all foreign forces from Libya.

On last Monday, Norland visited Cairo and discussed the demilitarized solution for Sirte with Egyptian officials. He later visited Ankara and discussed the same solution with Turkish officials.
