US Embassy in Libya allocates $13 million in support of the response to the Coronavirus

The Charge d’Affairs to the United States Embassy in Libya Joshua Harris, spoke with the Director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar, regarding the efforts of the NCDC in response to the Coronavirus pandemic in Libya.

Harris, speaking on behalf of Ambassador Richard Norland, expressed his appreciation for the non-political efforts of the Center and the health authorities generally throughout the country to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.

Harris also confirmed that the United States has allocated an estimated $13 million to support the response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Libya to date.
