The United States Embassy in Libya said it had organized a course in Tunisia in partnership with the Libyan Airports Authority and the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority for the protection of airports and critical infrastructure and facilities.

The interim Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy, Natalie Becker, stressed the need to strengthen Libya's capacity to protect its vital infrastructure against natural disasters and other threats to ensure its security and improve its economy.

The training course is part of the ongoing effort by the United States to support Libyan initiatives aiming at improving the conditions for citizens.
