According to the official Facebook page of the Ras Ajdir border crossing, a representative of the US Embassy in Tripoli paid a visit to the border crossing from the Libyan side.

The representative stated that the visit was a symbolic gesture that would pave the way for the return of the US ambassador to Libya.
