The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Manqoush, has discussed with the Acting Assistant Secretary of State, Yael Lambert, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as supporting efforts to reach national elections based on a constitutional basis.

This came on the sidelines of the work of the 31st Arab Summit in Algeria on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the participation of the head of the Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter.

Al-Manqoush referred to the government’s steps towards restoring Libya to its role within the Arab system, which is represented by the Arab League.

Lambert affirmed her country's support for holding national elections in Libya in stable conditions and rejecting any military solution.
