The American ambassador to Libya Richard Norland confirmed that the new Government of National Unity will provide a historic opportunity for Libya to regain its sovereignty over foreign interference and secure the path towards stability and democracy.
The American ambassador offered in a tweet congratulations to the Libyan people, adding that the United States will fully support the new government to meet the urgent needs of the population and in the preparation of the national elections, set for next December.
