A senior delegation from the U.S. Congress has met with US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, and embassy staff in order to learn more about the situation in Libya and explore ways in which the United States could further contribute to a political resolution of the conflict, the US Embassy said on Facebook.

The congressional delegation has expressed appreciation of the outreach efforts made by the embassy, with respect to the exchange of students and visits, in addition to other opportunities that keep the United States in touch with the Libyan people, until the embassy can resume its functioning from Tripoli, according to the Embassy.
