The US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, said that the progress made by the commanders of the Joint Military Committee (JMC) 5+5 should serve as a good model for political leaders in reaching an agreement on the issue of the elections.

In a tweet, he welcomed the signing of the JMC’s plan of action for the withdrawal of mercenaries, foreign fighters, and foreign forces from the country.

It is worth noting that the JMC 5+5 announced in a statement the signing of a plan to initiate the withdrawal of foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, after three days of meetings in Geneva, where a comprehensive plan of action for the gradual and balanced withdrawal process was agreed upon.
