The United Nations Support Mission in Libya, (UNSMIL) yesterday announced that the prearranged political dialogue due to take place on Wednesday, February 26 will continue as agreed upon, despite the declaration by the House of Representatives and the High Council of State in Libya calling on a suspension, giving notice to UNSMIL of their dissatisfaction on progress and their refusal to attend on that basis.

Head of The Public Information and communications office of UNSMIL, Jean Alam, informed Agence France-Presse that the talks would continue at the designated time and place, despite the declaration.

He did not indicate who precisely would take part in these discussions in the absence of the essential Libyan representatives.
