The United Nations envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame said that the UN mission stands with any Libyan party working to fight terrorism, pointing out the need for armed groups to exit all oil fields and hand it over to the National Oil Corporation (NOC).

In a televised statement, Salame explained that elections in Libya will not succeed unless certain conditions are met, in the forefront; the issuance of a law, from the House of Representatives (HoR) and completing preparations for the elections, in addition to the security situation.

Salame pointed out that the most important conditions of the elections are the commitment of all parties to accept their outcomes, indicating that the electoral commission will move to its new headquarters during the next week.
