The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced Tuesday the training of 22 radio and press organizations from different parts of Libya on the role of the media during the electoral process.
The mission said on their official Facebook page that the training covered the principles and ethics of election media coverage during a workshop organized by the High National Election Commission in cooperation with the International Organization for Democracy and Elections.
The UNSMIL noted the role of the media in educating voters, reducing electoral risks and updating the electoral register, indicating that the workshop lasted four days at the mission’s headquarters in Tunis.
