The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), vehemently condemned the indiscriminate bombing of various suburbs around Tripoli, including the shelling of Zawit Al-Dahmani, close to the Turkish embassy and the residence of the Italian Ambassador.

UNSMIL said in a statement that the attacks, carried out by Haftar’s forces have resulted in the deaths of 15 civilians, along with at least 50 others injured since the beginning of May.

The Mission added that it would continue to monitor and document all violations to submit to experts in the International Criminal Count, as it felt that these incidents likely amounted to war crimes.
