The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) warned Sunday, that attacks against civilian infrastructure and facilities constitute a blatant violation of International Humanitarian Law.
The mission's statement came following airstrikes against Misurata’s civilian airport.
The mission called for an immediate end to what it described “senseless attacks”, especially against the only remaining civilian airport in western Libya, available for use by millions of Libyans, according to the UNSMIL Twitter account.
