The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) solicited the delegations of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) to seize this opportunity and assume their historical responsibilities, and continue with completing the legislative framework for the elections.
UNSMIL indicated that a specialized team, affiliated with it, participated in the joint meeting of HoR and HCS in Rabat, Morocco, and provided technical support in line with the mission’s mandate to support the holding of elections as stipulated in Security Council resolutions and the road map approved by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF).
