UNICEF's Special Representative for Libya, Abdulrahman Ghandour, praised the plan of the Ministry of Interior for child and family protection by creating a Child and Family Protection Office, which was established on the tenth of November last year.

This came during a meeting with Interior Minister Fathi Pashagha, at the ministry's HQ in Tripoli, according to the ministry's Facebook page.

For his part, the Interior Minister welcomed the assistance of the UNICEF through setting up training programs and establishing centres in all security and police departments.
