The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced that it has sent humanitarian aid to the city of Derna consisting of 1,000 essential hygiene kits, which should benefit about 5,000 people, including children.
The UNICEF stated on their official Facebook page that this aid includes five kinds of recreational kits to support 450 children in emergency situations in Derna and those displaced to Bayda.
“As conflict in Derna has escalated over the last couple of months, over 55,000 boys and girls in the city are at risk.” Said the UNICEF.
