The UNICEF office in Libya said that it had started installing 31 prefabricated classrooms and reconstruct water and sanitation facilities in 5 schools in Benghazi, eastern Libya.

It added that 2500 children will be able to use a better school environment upon project completion, which is supported by Germany’s BMZ Bund

The UNICEF announced earlier that the German government had allocated 9.8 million euros to the UNICEF branch in Libya in order to support at least 30000 children in vulnerable situations with their families, in terms of child protection, education, access to safe drinking water, and sanitation, in the next four years.
