UNICEF has dispatched more than 17 tons of urgent food needs and medical supplies to be distributed to families displaced by the clashes south of Tripoli.

More than 60,000 people have been displaced since the outbreak of the clashes, including 755 families, who are currently staying in mass shelters, according to UNICEF representative in Libya.

He also confirmed their need to provide more than $ 5 million to ensure prompt response and to meet the humanitarian needs of the displaced.
