The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Filippo Grandi has expressed hope that the international community will continue its commitment to find a solution to the conflict in Libya and prevent this country from becoming "another Syria".

In his statements on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Grandi explained that Libya is one of the most difficult working environments for humanitarian work.

"Our teams in Libya are facing great difficulties in delivering aid to civilians," he explained.

Grandi pointed out that the UNHCR is closely following the course of the Berlin Conference on Libya, but indicated that the political process is moving at a slow pace.
