UNHCR said that it had transferred 29 migrants from an immigration centre in Gharyan city, due to the risk of threat and to accommodate them in more suitable conditions.

"The migrants held for months in Gharyan had suffered from lack of access to services, food shortages, and disease outbreaks," the UNHCR said in its report, calling on the international community to provide humanitarian corridors for refugees.

It also confirmed that nearly 4000 refugees and migrants are being held in shelters near areas of conflict, in and around Tripoli.
