The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Libya has announced a temporary closure of some of its services in Tripoli, including the registration office for illegal immigrants in Al-Sarraj district and the community day center in Gurji.

The UNHCR has explained in a statement that its action comes in response to developments related to the coronavirus epidemic.

This comes in light of the measures taken by the Libyan authorities to keep the virus away from the country, including the suspension of classes and closing all air and land ports.
