The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that it has secured, in coordination with the Libyan authorities, the release of 141 refugees in Libya who were being held at the Souq Khamis Shelter, approximately 140 km east of Tripoli.

The UNHCR confirmed that the migrants were released during the past week and that a number of them included women and children, adding that they were transferred to Tripoli where the UNHCR provided them with basic staple items such as food aid and medical checks.
