The UNHCR said that it had provided assistance to more than 270 displaced families from Tawergha town in Al-Fallah camp in Tripoli.

The UNHCR explained that the IDPs were affected by the heavy rains that hit the capital over the weekend, pointing out that it also offered a pump to drain the flood water and large plastic sheets for covering the makeshift houses of the IDPs.

For its part, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirmed the provision of humanitarian assistance to more than 500 illegal migrants at Shohada Naser Centre in Zawiya city, adding that it will continue to cover the needs of migrants in cooperation with its partners in the European Union.
