The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) – Libya Office has declared that 1.1 million people need humanitarian assistance in Libya.

In a report on its 2018 activities in Libya, the UNHCR said 187,423 persons are internally displaced while 400,000 others have returned home.

The report indicated that the UNHCR had provided humanitarian and cash assistance to more than 92,000 persons and provided support to health and education facilities.

Regarding the illegal migrants and refugees, the UNHCR said it had helped more than 10,000 persons with life-saving medical supplies.
