The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Libya in cooperation with the International Medical Corps has trained around 16 social workers from Libya's Ministry of Social Affairs to support women and girls during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Another 50 health workers from the Maternity Hospital in Tripoli have also received training on the risks of Covid-19 on women, in particular, pregnant women and mothers, and means of prevention.

The training was conducted by UNFPA and the International Medical Corps, with the support of the European Union.
