The Mayor of Benghazi - appointed by the former military governor - Abdul Rahman al-Abbar received a security delegation from the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to discuss ways to support the security services in the city.

The head of the information office of the Municipality of Benghazi Nidal Al-Kadiki said that the meeting discussed means of cooperation for supporting security services, including providing training programs for security personnel, in addition to equipping police stations in the city, and the possibility of establishing a model police station with the support of the United Nations Mission.

Al-Kadiki clarified that al-Abbar also reviewed with the UN Mission delegation the latest arrangements for the opening of the UN Mission's office in the city of Benghazi.
