The UN Security Council expressed its full support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres to resolve the situation in Libya.

The Council expressed in a statement issued on Friday night its serious concern about the ongoing military operations in Libya, saying that it jeopardizes efforts for a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis.

It also called on the forces of the so-called Dignity Operation to avoid any military confrontation, indicating that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis.
