The UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, discussed with the Algerian Ambassador to Libya Slimane Chenine on Sunday the role of neighbouring countries in supporting the Libyan dialogue.

Williams said in a tweet that she had a fruitful meeting with Chenine, accompanied by the coordinator of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Raizedon Zenenga.

She added that the meeting discussed the latest developments in Libya, as well as the important role of Libya's neighbors in supporting the three intra-Libyan dialogue tracks.

On Sunday, Algeria reopened its Consulate General in Tripoli in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador Slimane Chenine, Consul General Issa Ramani, and representatives of the Algerian community residing in Libya.
