The Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights: Ravina Shamdasani, said Dignity Operation forces detained more than 100 persons, among whom there were 13-year-olds, when they stormed into the oil crescent region, adding that the detainees were beaten and offended and they were forced to remain in areas unknown to their families.

The OHCHR added that they are concerned about the violations at the fighting at the oil crescent region, including the illegal killings, hostage and captive holding, as well as torture in Benghazi, Ajdabiya, Brega and Besher cities and towns.
