The UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Yacoub El Hillo, has condemned the recent raids that targeted different regions in Libya and resulted in the killing of civilians, mostly children and women.

"These raids constitute a further violation of international humanitarian and human rights law," El- Hillo stressed in a statement Tuesday, insisting that children are still paying the highest price for the current conflict.

He also urged all parties to the conflict to abide by their obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law to protect children and civilians.
