The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Libya said that more than 9,500 people have been displaced since the outbreak of armed clashes in the suburbs of Tripoli.

The office confirmed that 3,500 people were displaced last Thursday, expressing concern about the safety of civilians trapped in areas affected by the conflict.

It also pointed out that humanitarian workers have renewed their call for a temporary humanitarian truce to allow the provision of emergency services and provide a safe passage for the civilians and wounded in areas of conflict.
