The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) hosted a meeting to coordinate assistance to the electoral process in Libya.
The meeting was headed by Deputy Head of UNSMIL Maria Ribeiro and Head of the Electoral Commission Emad Sayeh.
The meeting reviewed several topics including the attack on the HNEC and its impact on the electoral process, in addition to the next steps needed for conducting the elections and the international community assistance required.
The UNSMIL praised the efforts and work of the HNEC's staff and offered condolences to Sayeh and the families of the victims who died in the attack, wishing a complete recovery to all those who were injured.
