The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, in the presence of his deputy for political affairs, Stephanie Williams, and his deputy and humanitarian coordinator in Libya, Yacoub El Helou, have met with a delegation from Al-Ahaly crisis committee of Murzuq, at the mission's HQ in Tripoli.

"Salame listened to the suffering and urgent humanitarian needs of the city's people and their demands to return to their city," the UN mission said.

It clarified that discussions focused on ways to address the crisis in Murzuq and to secure the needs -especially humanitarian, living, and educational needs.

The meeting also stressed the need to seek the safe return of the displaced to their town, according to the UN mission.
