The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Georgette Gagnon, has reiterated the mission's desire to coordinate with the Government of National Accord (GNA) to implement programs in the field of health as well as displaced persons and humanitarian services.

This came during Gagnon's meeting with the Presidential Council's Vise President, Ahmed Maiteeq, on Tuesday, according to a statement by the GNA's media department.

Maiteeq stressed the importance of the UN's role in implementing rapid response programs during crises in countries, referring to the return of the displaced to their homes in the areas of clashes in Tripoli, Sirte, Benghazi, and Darna.
