More than 150 families have fled their homes due to the recent floods in eastern Libya, according to a UN report.
The UN indicated that its organizations launched a rapid response mechanism in partnership with the Libyan Authority for Relief and Humanitarian Aid to provide the necessary assistance to the displaced persons.
The World Food Program (WFP) played a coordinating role for the rapid response mechanism and facilitated the transportation of food, in addition to health supplies provided by the UNFPA and non-food items by the (UNICEF), the UN stated.
