The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Saleme, held a meeting in Tripoli Monday with the Mayor of Misrata Mustafa Kawad, and members of the municipal council Isma'il al-Hashemi and Ali Busta to discuss the Tawergha IDPs crisis and their return to their town.

On its Facebook page, The UN mission clarified that Saleme agreed with the officials of Misrata on three principles, which included not to reopen discussions on Misrata-Tawergha agreement, the right of IDPs to return swiftly, and that temporary camps should not become permanent, noting that they have agreed on a safe and dignified return for the IDPs.
