The Spokesman for the United Nations (UN’s) Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, said that the Secretary-General's envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams is in considerable contact with the Government of National Accord (GNA), to set a date to meet with government officials.

He added in a virtual press conference that the intention of the meeting is to discuss methods of resuming the ceasefire talks in Libya.

“We want to see progress in implementing the draft agreement that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), presented to the two parties during the talks of the joint Military 5 + 5 Commission on February 23 last, to cease the aggression in the country, in order to move forward,” he stated.
